Do I need anything special to listen to Slacker Personal radio on the web?
A. All you need is a web browser and an Internet connection to
play Slacker Personal Radio. We are constantly testing various browser and system
configurations to ensure that playback is as seamless as possible. We would recommend
that you have a high speed connection to the Internet. Dial-up customers might
experience some interruption to playback. If you encounter any issues, try reloading
the Slacker.com website. Also check your browser for any messages about updates or
necessary installations. Please send us feedback if you have any issues.

- Q. How do I rate songs to let you know what I like and
what I don't like while my stations are playing?
A. There are two buttons to the right of the skip forward button in the Web
Player, one with a heart icon and one with a 'ban' icon. While you are
listening to a station, if a song appears that you don't like, press the
'ban' button. We won't ever play that song on that station again. If a
song plays that you love, press the heart button. We will mark that as a
favorite on that station. The station will play that song more often. And
if you have the Slacker Premium Radio service, Slacker will save the songs
you love to your Library so you can listen to these songs whenever you
want.

- Q. I just received a message telling me that I have
reached my skip limits. Why did this happen and what do I do?
A. While all of our content and stations are available in our free
service, there is a 6 song skip limit for each station per hour. If you
reach the limit, you can switch to another station, where you will have a
fresh start on your skip limits. The initial station will regain those six
skips over the next hour, whether or not you listen to that station. If
you subscribe to the Slacker Premium Radio service, you will not have any skip
restrictions. For more information on this, please check out our Products section.

- Q. Do I have to be in the US to access Slacker.com?
A. At this time we only can provide this service in the US.
- Q. How do I create my own radio station?
A. To create your own Custom Radio Station:
Click the "Create Station" button. The Web Player displays
the Create Station feature. In the text box in the left column, enter an Artist Name that you would
like to add to your station. Enter additional Artist Names or click the Add button next to a related
artist. Click "Save As" and type in the name of your new station. All
stations require at least 15 artists. If you do not add 15 artists, then Slacker
will add related artists to your station to reach 15 artists. You may add any
number of artists over 15 that you wish.
- Q. How do I add an artist to my station?
A. To add an artist to your station: Go to the station page for the station you wish to edit. Click "Station Options" Choose "Edit Stations" Type in the name of the artist you wish to add to this station. When you finish adding artists, click Save.
- Q. How do I ban an artist from my station?
A. To ban an artist, and not just a single song by an artist:
Click on the "Down Arrow" next to the Ban Icon (the button
that has a circle with a line through it). Click on Ban Artist.
The artist will be banned only from the current
station. The artist may play on other stations.
- Q. How can I get a history of the songs that have
played on the current station?
A. You can get a history of the previously played songs on the current
station by clicking the "Now Playing" tab that is located on the
left side of the Web Player. Once there, the history should be displayed
on the right hand side of the screen.
If you do not see the history of songs played, then you may need to change
your Now Playing view to the Album Info screen. You can change this by
going to "Options" and then choose "Now Playing Views"
and then "Album Info". The history of songs is only available
for the station you are currently listening to and if you change stations,
the history list will be cleared and restart based on the new station.
- Q. Will I still be able to maintain my free
music experience even with a Slacker Portable?
A. Yes. While a Slacker Portable takes great advantage of Slacker Premium Radio
features, you are not required to upgrade your service to take your music
with you on a Slacker Portable.

button. Type in a new name for your station.
If this is a station you have already named, and

- Q. Why do I hear other artists when I
select a specific artist radio station?
A. When you play an "Artist Radio" station, we create a great
radio station based upon the artist(s) that you choose AND other artists
that are related to that artist. The Web Player does not allow you to play
just one artist or album. Future offerings from Slacker will allow you
other options such as on-demand playing of your favorite songs or artists.
Please watch our Products page for the latest information concerning our
upcoming products.
- Q. I selected an artist to play, but that
artist never appears on the station when I play it. What's wrong?
A. We will constantly be adding new music to the Slacker service. There
may be times when our library has information about the artist but no
available music for that artist. You still can build stations that will
play music by related artists. When our library is updated, songs by that
artist will appear on your stations. Our library will be very dynamic, so
keep trying. Your artists are likely to appear and begin playing as soon
as we add them.
- Q. I have banned a song or artist but I
still hear them.
A. When you ban a song or artist you are banning them only on the
currently playing station. You may hear these songs and artists you banned
on other stations. This allows for you to customize different stations
with the type of music you would like.
- Q. How do I "Un-ban" a song or
artist that I have previously banned?
A. You can "un-ban" a song or artist in the following way. Navigate to the station on which you banned the song or artist. Left click on the stations that you want to edit from the list of
Stations. Click "Station Options" and choose "Edit Stations.". Click on the "Ban" icon across the top of the Edit Station
Screen. Find the song or artist that you would like to remove from the banned
list, and un-check the box next to the artists name When you are done with all of your changes, click "Save."

- Q. I don't see the genre station that I
would like to play. Are more stations coming?
A. We are working to provide over 100 expertly programmed stations for to
you choose from. If you do not see a genre station, please expand the
"All Stations" folder. We will always be looking to add unique
genres that you want to hear. If you have a suggestion for a station you
would like to see, please let us know through our "Feedback"
section below the web player.
- Q. Why is there no "Back" button
to replay a song that I just heard?
A. In order to keep the Slacker basic service free of charge and legal, we
can only allow skipping forward to the next song. However, Premium Radio
subscribers can save their favorite songs to listen to whenever they want.
- Q. Does the Web Player work with dial-up
access or do I need to have broadband access?
A. We recommend that you use broadband access as our Radio Service is

- Q. I was listening to music and I received
an error and/or the Web Player stopped responding. What do I do?

if you are able to resume playback. In addition, if you receive an error
(or other message), please send us the information in the 'Feedback' area.

you are using when you send the feedback. We are constantly releasing

A. Do the following to add the Slacker Player to your MySpace page:
While playing a station click "Station Options" and select "Share This
Station." Click the Add to MySpace button. Choose the player size you'd like to view on your MySpace page. (The
small player will be similar in size to the default MySpace player, while the
large player will be about double the size and provide much more artist
information.) Copy the code provided: Highlight the code with your mouse, right-click
and select Copy. Log in to your MySpace account and select Edit Profile. Scroll down the page to the "About Me" section, right-click in
the box and select Paste. The code you copied from Slacker should fill in the
box. Select Preview Profile to view the change and then click Save All
Changes. Your Slacker Radio Player is now active.

- Q. When I try to access the player on
MySpace with IE 6 or Safari, I receive the following Error Message:
"Slacker is unable to play from your browser, please click
"Create your own station now" above to play this station at
"Slacker.com."
A. This will happen if you are using IE 6 or Safari at this time. You still
can access the music that would normally be playing on the
"MySpace" page by clicking on the "Create your own station
now" link. This will open a new web browser with the station already
set to play.

- Q. I get a message saying "We have detected that you
are currently logged into our service on another computer. Please log in
again to continue using our service from this computer"
A. The easiest way to resolve
this is to open a completely fresh version of your web browser. To do this,
rather than going to "File" and "New Window", you would
want to double click on the icon on your desktop, or use the quick launch icon
on the quick launch bar. This opens up a copy of your web browser that has
never been to Slacker.com and therefore it will not attempt to access the
server and cause you to be logged out.

want to know what is being played on the current radio station. How do I do
this?
A. You can get a history of the

been played will be located on the right hand side.
If you change radio
stations, then the History on the "Now Playing" Screen is reset.

History, your "Now Playing" view might be set to one of the options that does
not display the history. Please click on "Options" and then "Now Playing
Views" and choose "Album Info". You should now be able to see the History of
what has been played on that station.
- Q. I
chose not to see messages anymore for Favorite/Ban and Saving songs. How do I
see these messages again?

Options drop down menu below the album art, then click on Settings.., once that
box appears you will see a section called messages with a reset button. Click

music available in our catalogue to provide a station for that Artist. Please
add additional artists to your station to increase the amount of music
available on your station.
